Munawar Ali Khan
Singer : Munawar Ali Khan
Biography
Munawar Ali Khan was the younger son of the doyen of the Kasur Patiala gharana, Ustad Bade Gulam Ali Khan.
Musical guidance for the young master was at the feet of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, his father. He accompanied his father to all his concerts till he passwed awy in 1968. After that Munawar Ali Khan started giving solo concerts.
For some reason Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan never encouraged Munawar to develop as a solo performer when he was alive and Munawar Ali Khan could never establish himself as an eminent solo singer even though he was very talented.
Ustad Munawar Ali Khan died at relatively young age of 59, in 1989. But he has left a lot of bright desciples including his nephews Mazhar Ali Khan, Jawad Ali Khan, son Raza Ali Khan, Ajoy Chakravarthi and famous ghazal singer Indira Mishra.
Rajab Ali Khan
I was unable to find this artist's biography; he seems to be a very old time singer. If anybody happens to find about him please leave it in the comment. Thanks!
